9 06 2008

WWDC’s on. Steve Jobs is on stage, and I forgot and went ahead and made an appointment for 7!!! Argh… so I’m now off out to F5 Engadget on my iPhone in a bar instead! :p.

About

24 03 2008

So you found my blog then,

Thanks for reading; I hope that it’s just a tiny bit of entertainment.

mtjMy name’s Chris and I’m a computer scientist at the University of Bristol. I constantly feel this little voice pulling at me to say all sorts of things that would    probably be considered boring, inappropriately geeky or just inappropriate so I thought that I’d start a blog of my own to vent these thoughts to    the world. This way you can’t compain because you typed my URL in to the address bar :).

I love the technology industry and the constant state of transition that it’s in; after my degree I hope to move to America and begin my career around Silicon Valley/The Bay area. I’m involved in a few software projects at the moment; I’m sure that if you read this often you’ll pick up on them, and there are links on the side bar to some of their URLs. Most are dead at the moment although will become live soon enough.

I believe that technology should be an ‘enabling’ element in life, and not a ‘disabling’ one. To that end, a lot of the software that I’m involved in could be considered ‘lifestyle’ software and there will be a theme of making people’s lives easier, or richer in some way, in some cases even reducing the amount of time spent at a computer.

I hope you enjoy reading and please comment & get in contact!

Chris
